its probably so they can replace it easily (read: for refurbished ipods)
I don't see what's that funny...double-sided tape is probably cheaper material, and screws really aren't necessary to hold it in place. Seems logical to me.
I agree. Cut down production costs, and makes it easier to replace the screen.
But it looked a bit to easy to just pop the glass cover off of the screen.
remeber... apple is trying to be Eath Friendly....
It seems to work fine so i don't see why your complaining if you had a reason not to like this then your would have an argument but you don't.
What's wrong with tape?
My Powerbook G4 titanium is literally held together by glue and its over 6 years old without a single problem.

errrm... would u really want screws in your ipod.
1. Making it heavier
2. Less environmentally friendly
3. More expensive
4. Perhaps thicker.
