Recently had a computer hard drive failure and of course lost all my music. I have 8 gbs of music on my Touch, but it only seems to want to transfer back onto my new computer the songs I bought through the iTunes store. Any input as to how to get all my songs back onto the new computer would be greatly appreciated. The sync doesn't help.

Actually syncing your ipod is the WORST thing you can do in this case, because it will erase ALL of your songs. In fact I don't believe, since you cannot access "disk Mode" that you will be able to recover your songs. That sucks. Sorry. Maybe someone knows how to do it through one of those FTP programs but most likely not.

    heres what you do

    jail break your ipod

    go into your ftp client

find the music folder (serch on fourms)

select all copy into the folder you want and there you go music one more
