Half-White screen, iPhone 2G

    I know this is probably a hardware problem.
    My touchscreen works fine, but you can only see like 1/4 of the top of the screen.
    I'm wondering if I should replace the screen myself, or if there is something that went loose, or if I should just find a repair guy to do it.
    I'm able to spend up to like 100 dollars. I'm trying to keep it low budget.

    Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

    Several times. it always managed to slip out of my hands :l but when I got the white screen, I didn't drop it, it was just random.

    well maybe all those drops caused it?

    I figured that. But i'm wondering what I should buy to repair it.

    search craigslist, depending on what in the screen it is price can go from $45-$125

    I finally got the phone apart, and I read up that maybe its a loose cable, because the iphone screen is in two half sections. anybody have pics?

    There's a tutorial on here somewhere on how to take apart an iPhone with pics. I'll look for you.
