I am thinking of hackintoshing my PC but people say that you can't hackintosh a AMD processor. Is that true? Anyway here are my specs. CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor CPU Speed: 3.1GHz RAM: 8.0 GB Video Card: ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics Disk Space: 1TB OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit Here are my specs once upgraded. CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor CPU Speed: 3.1GHz RAM: 8.0 GB Video Card: MSI GEFORCE GTX460 1GB 256bit Disk Space: 1TB OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit Just wondering if I can hackintosh on those specs. Thanks.
you should be able to, just make sure when your installing drivers be sure to select something that makes a mention of AMD in the kernels
I'm a bit stumped on how to do it. Anything like a guide or something will help, even if it's dual-booting Mac OS X Lion.
You can only use Snow Leopard as there is no AMD kernel for Lion available. Oh, and I do not believe the ATI Radeon 3000 graphics are supported in Snow Leopard - or at least my old integrated ATI Radeon 3100 wasn't supported. AMD hackintosh is really a pain and probably not worth it.
