I am thinking of hackintoshing my PC but people say that you can't hackintosh a AMD processor. Is that true?

    Anyway here are my specs.
    CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor
    CPU Speed: 3.1GHz
    RAM: 8.0 GB
Video Card: ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics
    Disk Space: 1TB
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

Here are my specs once upgraded.
    CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor
    CPU Speed: 3.1GHz
    RAM: 8.0 GB
    Video Card: MSI GEFORCE GTX460 1GB 256bit
    Disk Space: 1TB
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

Just wondering if I can hackintosh on those specs.

    Thanks.

Apparently it's possible, but it's not recommended on an AMD CPU.

you should be able to, just make sure when your installing drivers be sure to select something that makes a mention of AMD in the kernels

I'm a bit stumped on how to do it.

Anything like a guide or something will help, even if it's dual-booting Mac OS X Lion.

You can only use Snow Leopard as there is no AMD kernel for Lion available. Oh, and I do not believe the ATI Radeon 3000 graphics are supported in Snow Leopard - or at least my old integrated ATI Radeon 3100 wasn't supported.

AMD hackintosh is really a pain and probably not worth it.

Not going to be an everyday computer, but possible. Not sure about your Graphics Card though.
