hackintosh anyone?

    well i just finished my dell dimension 3100 as a hackintosh w/ 10.5.3 on it. every thing works great except 4 sound(knew it wouldn't work) but all i need is a usb to sound card. i totally love it. got me my very own apple sticker and everything. just to ley u know i use kalaway. how else here owns a hackintosh?

    I tried it on my old PC, but it was just completely incompatible with everything pretty much.

    I have a dimension 3000. I bet I can help you get sound working. IF we infact have the same integrated audio. It's really easy actually.

    thanks 4 the article but i cant seem to get it to work. here is what my audio mdi setup looks like

    when i go to see if my hackintosh recognizes any integrated audio i get this screen

    is there any drivers i need to install.

    I don't think so bro. I assumed we would have similar motherboards given that we have very close system model numbers, evidently that isn't the case. Looks like you'll be looking for some hardware specific kexts. I bet you can find something though.

    well thanks 4 the the help but i doubt ill find the drivers 4 the sound board. simply because im looking 4 mac drivers on a retail windows machine.

    Welcome to the works of Hackint0sh my friend.

    I'm on 10.5.2 with everything working (Sound, video, USB) and I love it.
    In fact, I made the computer pretty much for that

    I can't help you with the sound drivers, sorry. I'm positive there is a solution though.

    Seriously. do what I've quoted here from the article I posted above. The odds are good if you'd just try it out.
