    [How-To] iPod touch 3.1.2 blackra1n to Spirit

Hello, sorry if this isn't in the right place but I don't think I could find a guide for this so I am going to make one.

HOW TO GO FROM IPOD TOUCH 3.1.2 BLACKRA1N TETHERED TO 3.1.3 SPIRIT UNTETHERD!!

1(OPTIONAL IF YOU DON'T WANT APTBACKUP SKIP TO STEP 3). Download aptBackup from Cydia. This will allow you to backup all your cydia apps and then restore them.

    2. Open aptBackup and hit backup and wait for it to backup.

    3. Connect your ipod touch to iTunes and let it sync and backup.

    4. After this is done hit restore on iTunes and restore to 3.1.3.

    5. This should take a while but once its done you should have a clean ipod touch that has no apps other than the defualt ones.

    6. Connect your iPod touch to the computer again and close iTunes. Get spirit from spiritjb.com and open and click jailbreak for it to jailbreak your ipod touch. (Read this for more info on how to jailbreak http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=287772 which was wrote by kiks52)

    7. Once it has jailbroken you should find on page 2 cydia.

    8. Open cydia and download aptBackup (you might have to wait for cydia to download all the packages first).

    9. Open aptbackup and click restore. This should take a while depending on the number of cydia stuff you had installed.

    10. Once its done I recommend rebooting as to 1. make sure its untethered and 2. some of your cydia apps might need rebooting.

    11. VOILA! You have an untethered jailbreak on 3.1.3!

Thank you for reading and please post if it was helpful! I tried to make this guide as accurate as possible but if something goes wrong I can't be held responsible. Also mods I wasn't sure if I was allowed to post the link so please remove if I wasn't.

Also could you please change the thread name to [HOW-TO] instead of the [GUIDE] part. Thank you!

You may want to incorporate AppBackup, which backs up all the save data for your App Store Apps.

Also, after step 4, should you have restored your previous backup?...and then you'd have more than just the 'default' apps?

    Thanks for the guide.

Just out of curiosity, if I 'Restore' in iTunes, will that automatically update to iOS 4.x or will it upgrade to 3.1.3, if my iPod Touch is on 3.1.2?
