Favorite theme not on cydia yet? Don't know how to SSH? Well no problem. I'm going to tell you how to download themes and install them, with just your jailbroken iPod Touch.

    Things needed from cydia:

    • Some addon to let you download files in Safari
    • Mobile terminal
    • UnRAR
    • UnZip
    • iFile

Now that you have all that installed, it's time to find the theme you want. Let's take the cube theme for example. Go to the thread and download the .zip file. (if it's an attachment it will most likely come up as "attachment.php". That's fine, just download as normal then rename it with iFile to "___.zip")

Then use iFile and go to var/mobile/library/downloads. You should see the zip file you just downloaded.

Open it and select all the files by hitting edit in the top right corner and selecting all the files (double tapping doesn't work). Next, hit the arrow in the bottom right corner and select extract.

After that is done go back and you should see the files you extracted in the downloads directory (in the correct folders and everything).

Now hit edit again select the folder you extracted and go back to that little arrow at the bottom and select cut.

Now navigate to var/stash/themes and hit edit, then go back to our favorite arrow and select paste then hit done.

Now exit out of iFile and open winterboard, select your theme, and enjoy. (this process is the same for .rar files)

instead of clicking ALL the files in the ZIP file you can double tap one file and it will select all. i suggest putting that piece of info in your guide. great tut though! posible sticky in my mind.

iFile kicks ass when it comes to custom themeing ON the ipod itself.

EDIT: what do i download from cydia so i can download zip files from safari?

I tried that and it doesn't work and some themes have more than a hundred files.
