    nobody uses stocks.

here's how to delete it on 3.0 but this might more on 2.x.x or maybe even 1.1.x.

    steps
    1. ipod must be jailbroken
    2. go to cydia
    3. download "iFile"
    4. once downloaded, open iFile and navigate to the "/" folder by hitting the "<--" button until you are in the "/" folder.
    5. open the folder "Application"
    6. scroll down till you see "stocks.app"
    7. press edit
    8. touch "stocks.app"
    9. touch the trashcan
    10. hit done
    11. press the home button
    12. go to winterboard (if you do not have this just shut off the ipod then turn it back on.)
    13. select one item then unselect it or vice versa
    14. hit the home button and let your pod respring
    15. you should not have the stocks app anymore!

Hmmmm, looks I'm the only one here who finds the enhanced Stocks app in 3.0 a great plus-point on the iPod touch... Anyway, the landscape mode that shows greater detail of an index or PLC's performance is what made me go for the Stocks app in a big way... Much better than the one in OS 2.2.1...

This doesn't really require a guide. Just delete it in the applications folder or Poof it.
