After Severe try and error, I made it to backup my All Applications - Installed via Installer.app and/or Manual Installs - This procedure has been brought up and was asked for 100 times with no response from plp arround here, thats why I tried my self and it works.

You need to do the Backup, since a single Application you install might render your device Hangs / Locking-up all the time, and no other options are there for you except RESTORE.

the missing info for me at this time is the SymLink thing, after using BossTool, would this be helping?

Well, that was my only question hoping to find a RESPONSE:

    HOW-To:

    This How-To is for 1.1.1 / 1.1.2 I find 1.1.3 very Buggy ATM:

    1. SSH to your device using (Ipswitch WS_FTP Professional) - I prefer that

    2. go to : private/var

    3. You will find a folder called: Applications

    4. Copy the folder to your PC - it will take a while depending on no. of Apps you installed

    5. then go through this : /private/var/root/Library

    6. You will find another Application-Dependency Files - Copy the entire contents to your PC

    You are Done...

Anytime you need to restore your device, no Problem RESTORE IT to same Fm version you were using, then Copy back to the iPod Touch the Files we copied earlier to the PC.

    You are all OK now.

Hope this helps any person in need...

Please consider MODIFICATION / UPDATE to this Guide, to make it perfect.

I wish some developers comes out with a FREE Applications that does this for us.

Well anyone who knows how to SSH would know how to manually maneuver files. Was there really a need for this "guide"?

I was hoping you would of showed us a program which would of done it for us automatically... too bad.

Anyways, I don't want to be a complete douche because I know you spent time on this and I thank you for trying to help some noobs but next time try and make a guide about something less obvious.

i was just told to back up /Applications, but when i would put them back on, the app would always open, and never work.
