iOS 3.1 [Guide] Do I have to back up my SHSH?

    This is just to help stop the threads asking "Do backing SHSH backup apply to me".

    Read this to see if you have to backup your ECID to be able to jailbreak when new firmwares release that can't be jailbroken.

    iPod Touch 1G:
    3.0 - No
    3.1 - No
    3.1.2 - No
    3.1.3 - No

    iPod Touch 2G:
    3.0 - No
    3.1 - No
    3.1.2 - No
    3.1.3 - No

    iPod Touch 2G (MC Model):
    3.0 - No
    3.1 - No
    3.1.2 - Yes
    3.1.3 - Yes

    iPod Touch 3G:
    3.0 - No
    3.1 - No
    3.1.2 - Yes
    3.1.3 - Yes

    iPhone 2G:
    3.0 - No
    3.1 - No
    3.1.2 - No
    3.1.3 - No

    iPhone 3G:
    3.0 - No
    3.1 - No
    3.1.2 - No
    3.1.3 - Yes

    iPhone 3GS:
    3.0 - No
    3.1 - No
    3.1.2 - Yes
    3.1.3 - Yes

    iPad WiFi:
    3.2 - Yes

    iPad 3G:
    3.2 - Yes

    You can backup your ECID with either AutoSHSH or Umbrella.
    If your already jailbroken you can use Cydia to back them up by pressing the "Make my Life Easier" button.

    Correct me if I'm wrong. ​

    thanks seems simple enough. just run umbrella and thats me backed up my shsh blobs?

    Why does the iPod 2G need it's SHSH backed up? Last I checked it doesn't run the firmware checks and is even untethered on 3.1.3.

    O yea, was thinking iphone 3g, might have been a refurb on 3.1.3
