if you jailbroken 1.1.3 you might notice that you have iphone text like

    No service
    or
    Searching

    to change this
    download this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=923YE138

    then SSH into your ipod
    then

    1. go to system
    2. liberary
    3. CoreServices
    4.summerboard.app
    5. then go to Engish.lproj
    6. then look for summerboard.plist and replace it with the one you just downloaded it sould say " would you like to replace" just say yes
    7. then reboot ipod and your all done!

if you want to cuztomize your text open the file up with note pad and then press

ctrl+f and type in what you want to change, it will bring you to it, then you can edit it, then save it to your ipod and you'll have a custom text on your 1.1.3 f/w ipod!

this sould hold us over untill they make a customize for 1.1.3 :/
    well good luck!
    and please sticky this
    it will help people alot!

actually customize does work with 1.1.3. you have to manually download it from the customize site on google code and then extract it with your fav extracter. open the extracted file and drag customize.app into /Applications. You have to SSH into your ipod before you can drag it in though. restart your springboard once the file is loaded into /Applications. you should see the customize icon. open customize, navigate to springboard strings, and you can change no service to iphone, ipod or whatever you want it to say.

the vid tut was great, it helped me get the preferences back to normal--but I am still confused about Customize. What file do I need to edit to get it working on my 1.1.3 ipod?
