My friends ipod touch has encountered the no wi-fi problem, the wi-fi button permanently displays no wi-fi and isnt clickable.

I saw that there was a fix to this problem from the Dev Team for the iPhone >>> http://wikee.iphwn.org/sgold_bootrom:fixwifi <<<

but it requires open ssh and mobile terminal, which are not on the ipod. Is there a way to get those programs onto the ipod touch without wi-fi or a different method of fixing the wi-fi? Perhaps adding these files and open ssh during the JB?

    Thanks

If it's jailbroken, you can use iphonebrowser or Total Commander to access the iPod without Wi-Fi.

I'm sure you can just reboot. I mean it was only a huge issue back in the ziphone days.

And to the dude above, if you had actually read the post, you'd have realized that he has no wifi.

    It's jailbroken. a.k.a. NOT APPLE'S FAULT.

There is a specific reason that Apple doesn't support many of the things that people jailbreak for. Themes, emulators, etc. It causes problems. You broke your iPod. Not Apple.
