    Hi,

I think it is time to introduce myself, after roaming around on this forum for the last couple of days.

I'm a Dutchmen, currently living in Oberusel, Germany. I'm married without children and my wife currently lives in Washington DC. We hope to be reunited after the financial crisis cools down.

I've bought my 32 GB Touch in January this year, after I killed my old and trustworthy Creative Zen 40GB harddisk player by accidentally dropping it. As a matter of fact, my wife more or less made the decision for me to buy the Touch. She already owned one and I was amazed and impressed by its look (normally one of the weaknesses of Apple products

) and its capabilities. In one go, I could not only replace my old player, but also my (very) old PDA. No other player could (at that time) offer me that much, so I made up my mind and bought the Touch as well.

Now I'm very happy with that decision, bought several great games and utilities. But, I still think that iTunes sucks and still hope to find a suitable replacement for that piece of bloatware.

    Cheers,

    Tom

. My mother tongue however isn't German, but Dutch. I do however speak German fluently (as well as English and French), but with a distinct Dutch accent.

Why is it that whenever I play a German song on my iPod, I always meet German people right afterward?

IE, I was just listening to Major Tom by Peter Schilling like 1 minute ago...it kinda freaks me out...

    and hello.

Because German either sound really funny or really cool. It depends.

And I have like, 5 songs in German out of my 1000 songs on my iPod..
