Jailbreaks can have negative effects on your iDevice. The very fact you have a custom or hacked firmware means that a myriad of problems may occur. One of the most infamous of these is battery drain issues that may be a result of a memory leak caused by the jailbreak or other weak code, observed by a more rapid discharge ıf your battery than usual.

I am seeing issues with the battery on my iphone4 so lets see if there's any real difference between greenpois0n and limera1n in terms of the stability of your jailbreak. I won't mention which one of the two available 4.1 jailbreaks I'm seeing these issues on and this is not to say that all will as it may be just a badly applied jailbreak on my side.

i agree, on my itouch 2g mc,
with blackra1n i had numerous buggy problems like volume control not working and slow resprings but the biggest was the battery,
the percentage was way off and they battery did not last doing normal things or playing a basic game, as limera1n is a slapped together tool, even though the exploit is old, i believe GP should have fixed these problems as it is a thought out JB tool, even though it has the same kernel/exploit and other codes from limera1n.
i cannot 'limera1n' my device but should it be much like blackra1n, i will not install.

Cant confirm battery drain on a jailbroken iphone4 with limera1n and also on a 3GS jb'ed with greenpoison (MC model) and both models are used the same way almost. both have the same Mobilesubstrate addons and stuff.. mh

Same, limera1n gave me really bad battery drain. my ipod could not make it a day without being dead. Switched to GP and all is fine now.

How do you switch? Do you need to get rid of the limera1n jailbreak (restore) and then jailbreak with greenpois0n? Or can you just greenpois0n over the limera1n?
