Whilst I know that there is no GPS chip in the iPod itself, I was wondering whether there was an adapter or something you can buy to plug in, much like the plug in mics you can get.

    Anyone know if its possible?

    Thanks

yeah a bluetooth GPS reciever (building on gunzmaiet's post) with the software suggested by the aforementioned poster

One thing though try and look for a SiRF Star III chipset in a BT GPS . Also check compatability with aforementioned apps.

That sounds great! If I am being honest, I wasn't expecting the answer to be a yes!

You have all made my day =D

EDIT: I don't think I made myself as clear as I should have done >.>
All I want the gps for is for geocaching, if you have heard of it. Are there any apps that would allow me to do this? I have never used a road gps before and I wasn't sure if it would work with geocaching.
