Hello i just got a iphone 2g i know its a little old but there still good and after all its still an iphone ;D

My question is should I upgrade the firmware to the newer one if it is possible as i have not chekced if there is a later firmware, If i do is there any downfalls to this, i know all a bout the jailbreaks and that its fine upgrading but i think i did read somewhere that the new ios 4 firmware drains the battery and i right when i say this?

    Regards Paul

I tried it on my Iphone 2G. I don't recommend it. It always sent my device into safe mode. Good idea, but poorly executed. Sure, it spoofed my version to 4.0, but the apps designed to run on it crashed.
