I think it's very cool that 3 new mobile OS versions were announced in June:
    • iOS 6 on June 11
    • Windows Phone 8 on June 20
    • Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) on June 27

So I was just reading up on Project Butter and it seems pretty promising. I haven't really been experiencing much lag on my Nexus S which is running 4.0.4 but I guess bumping framerate to 60 FPS, implementing vsync and couldn't hurt so i'm looking forward to this and the new search app looks nice also!

Hello Google! Apple better start to watch its back, there's alot of innovation and awesome features coming to Android. Alot more than what iOS is seeing imo

The only downside to Android is how long it takes your phone to get an update, at least Apple allows you to download the latest and greatest on the day of release

Agree with others that Apple need to pull their finger out iOS 6 isn't that great a leap over iOS 5

If you want the same update experiance as iOS devices, just buy Nexus devices. Google also announced the Platform Developer Kit (PDK) for their Android partners that allow them to get early access and allow them to start working to support the new version faster.

Btw. the article forgot to mention that the people who attended Google IO will get a preview build of 4.1 for the Galaxy Nexus they got and I would assume the Nexus 7 they got was already running it. I can understand why they missed it though as you'd probably miss it if you didn't watch the keynote.

I'm with you on this one. I'll definitively keep my iPad, but getting self a Nexus, especially after the price drop. Tablet in the other hand, I'll wait until the users review before investing more money. Apple you have better check the back of your heels.

Looks like Android 4.1 brings Chrome over as the default browser and is no longer in its beta phase. Update just came in today.
