Hi, It seems like Google Transit works on the Iphone, but not on the Ipod Touch because when I visit google.com/transit and submit a route, the page just stays the same. It seems like there is a problem with the recognization of the url or something? Is there a hack for this?? http://groups.google.com.tr/group/googletransit/browse_thread/thread/2d5a458fa6868685 One is that the firmware of your iPhone must be the most current (1.1.2) in order for the GT option to work at all. I was running the original firmware that shipped with the iPhone in June - for a number of reasons, not all of them important - and upgrading to 1.1.2 made th workaround I'll outline below workable where it hadn't been before. I was having much the same problems you were, and the firmware update definitely fixed t he translation between a web search at google.com/ transit and the native gMaps application on the iPhone. Once your firmware is current, I think you'll find that searching from www.google.com/transit yields a short list of bus information - similar to what you're used to seeing on the left side of the screen in a desktop iteration, and very much like what you've requested here - but without the mapping. It's not perfect, but it's close. Bookmarking google.com/transit will get you there quickly, although an auto-complete of one's home address info, for example, would make the process slicker.
