This is a discussion thread for the "Google+ Designed by Andy Hertzfeld, the Original Macintosh Designer" story posted on the front page.
Yep I heard about this right after the big hype today. Its very interesting because he also designed Google's new (though not much has changed, like a black header instead of white) main user interface, which I dislike so far.
I think this is interesting because it's the first time that Google has shown any interest in design. But I agree about the black header. It's like being in some dark Linux theme; feels gimmicky. But then again, this guy left Apple because they didn't let individuals experiment much UI-wise on finished products, so maybe he's gone a little crazy at Google with this stuff.
Why is Jon (newsposter) the only newsposter that puts bias into his articles? Others like Trey do an amazing job ensuring their reports are unbiased and 3rd-person while Jon tends to impose his own views to readers. This has been a trend for many of his posts now.
Lol, why? Not on topic. Why don't you take that up with him privately. I don't see his bias in his front page reports. On topic: I like the new design, very metro.
