    Hey guys,

I know very very little about synths and that sort of equipment, but I am looking to get something along that line to record with. I want something that I can use to add effects (oscillator, etc.) to a keyboard or another input instrument and is as customizable as possible when it comes to making different sounds. I was looking at some Korg equipment, but honestly I don't even know what I'm looking for. I am assuming I would need a synthesizer, however they have all kinds of different samplers and all kinds of things. Quite frankly, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to this kind of music equipment. Can anybody help me out finding what I am looking for? And if so, is there a specific piece of equipment you'd recommend?

good lord i sound like an idiot trying to explain myself
