Hopefully this can stop some of the beginners from asking for help on this forum that can be easily found it is also pretty useful to people that are experienced I've spent the last week looking at the tutorials so here it is.

    http://www.iphonedevcentral.org

    hope this helps

I actually tried that site and found many of the tutorials to be outdated so they didn't work with the modern SDK.

I figured out what I know from a trusty source:

The betas came out along with the 2.0 Betas.

As the 2.0 APIs changed, so did the SDK. Many of the API calls that could have been made on the beta SDKs, have been renamed to other functions.

I have used www.iphonedevcentral.org before as well. Although some of the "Beginner" tutorials are outdated. Well, in fact, every tutorial on that site is. The last one was posted in July i believe. Although some still work, such as the tutorials in the "Intermediate" section, but there are now easier ways of doing things.

Using the method I showed you, you won't need CGPoint. It's much easier
