So I'm just wondering... What are some good apps, games, etc that I can get from Cydia? I feel like I'm missing something. All the games seem pointless. And the apps pretty much useless (atleast from what I read in the descriptions) ...is there another sea of apps that I'm missing? I like how you can modify the iPod (tweaks, sbsettings) but apples app store seems like it has a much better selection and better apps. (even the free ones) Hmm.

It really depends what you are into. When i jailbreak i usually install iFile and winterboard, just because i like customizing. I also like safari download manager, that and ifile pretty much mean you dont need a computer lol

    Well I JUST jailbroke(downgraded to 4.0)

    I installed:

    Winterboard
User wallpaper 4.0(fixes user wallpaper from winterboard)
    Ifile
    Safari download manager
    Sbsettings
MobileTerminal(in case I need it for something)
Open ssh (to allow me to ssh into the iPod)

Probably got a couple more small things but I don't remember what...

ibluever (paid) - share ur phones data plan with ur ipod touch through bluetooth, even if ur phone can turn into a wifi hotspot, bluetooth uses a lot lower battery

So I ended up restoring to normal iOS last night. I didn't like it too much. It was my first time jailbreaking so maybe I expected too much. I loved the customizing abilities, but I felt that certain games were like looking at a 2 year olds drawings (bad graphics), and the games were just pointless. Also certain apps would just crash, or wouldn't download (or weren't made for 4G).

I have a quick question though...when I am jailbroken, can I also get apps from the app store or no? If I can, maybe it is worth the jail break just for tweaks.

But another downfall, I didn't like the battery usage. I had the numeric battery on, and was literally watching the percentage drop, pretty quickly.

    I dunno, maybe i'll give Greenpois0n a try.
