I'm in the market for an FM transmitter and I'm wondering which ones are the best value. I'm not looking for some 100+ dollar device. I'm looking for something that is cheap, works like it should, and has a moderate to above average sound quality.

Griffin makes a decent one, but I really wouldn't recommend the FM transmitters. It seems like no matter how good they are, they still fade in and out because of the fact they feed off of the radio. They also require you to program a station in that has no signal or program on it. It has to be solely static. When you go on a trip, that station may be a working station in another city, so it will screw up your iPod signal.

i just got the Grffin iTrip Universal FM transmitter for 40 bucks. it's pretty good and it charges by usb. You connect it through the headphone jack, so you can use it with any device with a 3.5 jack. I'm going to buy a usb car adapter so it will always be charged
