So I was browsing Craigslist today, not actually expecting to find anything, [ I sometimes browse just to browse], and I found an HTC Sensation for $175. I was a bit suspicious at first, but then I talked with the guy, looked at some pictures, and it's pretty legitimate. [ I'm not new to Craigslisting by the way]. It just has some small scratches on the body, but not the screen. The Sensation has a really good development community, and that's the most important part of any device for me [alongside with screen size, which the Sensation has 4.3 inches of]. I have the money available, so should I get it? Or is there anything bad about the Sensation that should keep me from doing so?

On a side note, this would be my first dual core phone. Up to now I've owned the Droid 1, Nexus One, iPhone 3G and 3Gs, Hero, and HD2.

Make sure it is not stolen. Lots of used phones sold on fleabay and craigslist are stolen. You CANNOT activate a stolen phone. Many people buy the phone and then try to activate it later only to hear the carrier tell them they cant due to it being a stolen phone.

I think that's only with cdma phones, pretty sure you can just pop a new sim into any phone, stolen or not, on gsm. Not supporting stolen phones or anything :p

    Yup, GSM carriers don't care.

Anyways, I decided not to get it. While I like the phone and whatnot, I decided the money would be better put to a trip I'm taking this summer. However, I told one of my friends about the offer, and he's buying it instead.
