So, my home button stops working sometimes and I want to get a new iPhone. So I made an appointment earlier today. Of course, I will restore so there is no trace of the jailbreak.

Now, this is where the problem is...If they decided to give me a new one will it come with the updated 2.2 baseband? If so, is there any cheeky way of me asking them Can I have one with a lower firmware? and if they ask why, can I get away with just simply telling them that I want to jailbreak and UNLOCK my phone? What would they say exactly?

    Thanks guys.

ALSO: If they say no to all of that and tell me I'm getting a new one with all the updates, can I just refuse and say I am happy to use my phone with the dodgy home button? thanks!

If you go to the Apple Store you will most likely get a phone with 2.2 firmware.

I'm not sure what they'd say if you ask for one with 2.1 firmware for unlocking

They'd probably have a funny reaction or just say no.

    The last question... Of course.
They can't physically TAKE your phone back and NOT let you use it anymore.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I mean after all I bought it, it's my property and if I wish to take it back, I can

you dont got to tell them why u want a lower firmware. lie and say that u aren't fond of it. say a friend has 2.2 and u think thats its slower because of street view or something.

if you tell them you've jailbroken that voids the warranty
