finally decided going to replace my 16gb 1st gen touch for a new 16gb (possibly 32gb ? ) 2nd gen touch, like the thought of the in-built speaker and i think it looks a litte better as well..........
when it comes,is it just a straight forward case of plugging it in to the PC and all the music/pics etc.etc currently in my itunes for my 1st gen will automatically go straight onto my new 2nd gen when i "sync" it ?

Yep, just remember to back it up so you get the latest changes from your old one.

Go to iTunes preferences > Devices > make sure that "Disable automatic syncing for iPhones/iPods" is NOT checked, then plug in your iPod and make sure that in the little activity window it says "Backing up..." and there you have it, it backs up.
