    Gah, I'm in a dilemma.

I recently updated my iPod touch to the lastest firmware, but damn, I'm really not liking it.

There are a few nice new features, but otherwise:
    1. It's slower and less responsive.
    2. Why the hell does it separate albums with different artists?!
    3. Why does it keep turning shuffle OFF?!

So... how can I go about going back to an older firmware? Preferably without needing to do a full restore.

Oh, and which firmware would be best to restore to? I just want one that is very fast and functional.

    Cheers.

IMO, 3.2.1 is a bit faster than 3.0.

An older version ? Like what ? 2.2.1 ? It's easy. Just hold Shift, click on the Restore button from iTunes and select the .ipsw file (if you don't have it, download it). However, I would go with the latest version.

PS: You should probably update your profile with your iPod model by clicking "User CP". Because you can't install 2.2.1 on a "Late 2009" model.

    it's 3.1.2, not 3.2.1

and yes 3.1.2 is a bit faster than 3.0. i like it.
