So i bought the application pack for my ipod. It's up to date and has never been Jailbroken, I made a gmail account and enabled imap. When i click gmail under add account on my ipod i type in my information. The first thing that pops up is try to connect without SSH. I press yes and then i just get a message saying it cannot connect to imap.gmail.com or whatever. Anybody know why i can never get it to work? Same thing happens when i try doing it though custom

It was insanely simple for me. I just typed in my address, password, and voila! I am JB 1.1.2.

I didn't do a thing to Gmail on the web. Although I do access it from Mail on my Mac. Maybe I was already set properly for the Touch because of this.

Are you sure you typed in the proper info?

The reason it works for you and ot him is because you have the jailbroken version, while he has the 1.1.3 version..Or the official version.
Also Make sure your incoming settings have Server Port 995
And Outgoing Settings use Server Port 587

Or Something around there. (Those are my settings and my gmail works)

Enable POP3 and IMAP in GMail.

And "Poopymath", your post isn't true. Mail is Mail, either on 1.1.2 or 1.1.3, legit or not. It's still Apple Mail, with all of the same features.

I'm using 1.1.1 jailbroken, and I can access my GMail fine from Mail.
