GM = Final?

    I currently have the Developer's GM release on my iphone. (7A341)

    Is this the same as the final public release? Because my iTunes is saying there is no new update available.

    Yeah I read that... but why isn't my itunes saying there is an update available?

    It's not really a huge problem if your a developer, you can download it from Apple's dev website for free

    GM = THE VERSION EVERYONE IS GETTING IN ITUNES.

    How many threads on this are there? Search there are tons. One of the rules is search before you post.

    Yes, it seems like chicken4eve and I have been to nearly all of those threads and argued with someone on each one.

    Size and MD5 hashtag of the GM and yesterday's release are IDENTICAL. Therefore, both are IDENTICAL.

    The Gold Master IS the final release.

    K thanks guys. I worked it out when I updated my dad's phone and noticed the same build number.

    if they are the same then howcome people are saying that the speed is diff and etc

    They are probably experiencing lag because they restore from a backup of a jailbroken firmware. It's best to set up 3.0 as a "new ipod".
