Okay, first off i'm not EXACTLY sure this is where I would post this, but I think it is. So, anyway, I'll get right off into the "problem"

My sister just bought a second gen iPoT two days ago or something like that, and we just got a few free apps on the iTunes today. Well, of course, we wanted to put them onto her iPoT, but we can't drag and drop the applications from the application area of iTunes to her iPoT. We don't have the iPoT syncing automatically, and we really don't want to do that because it would just cause us needing to keep unnecessary amounts of music on my laptop

iTunes is the newest version, iTunes 8 or w/e
iPoT is version 2.2.1 (Doing the download for that version now)

We haven't jailbroken her iPoT yet, and I am kinda hoping there is some way to get apps from the iTunes Store manually onto her iPoT without having to jailbreak it

someone help? Or at least point me towards where I should be posting this? Thanks in advance, guys.

Highlight the iPod in the devices in iTunes, go to summary page for Applications, check the one you want to sync, and hit sync
