I want to learn to develop apps for the iPod touch and iPhone. Where do I start? I can code in C, php, html and javascript. Is it possible to start learning for free (rather than paying the $99 for a developer account) and where do I start?

Congratulations, you're thread number 4,000 on this same exact subject! Seriously, I hate to be rude, but if you read the threads there are at least 1 a page that are exactly like this.

    As for starting,

    http://developer.apple.com/iphone

The SDK is free, just so you know.

Like GJB says, the SDK is free, you'll need an Intel Mac, and if your device is jailbroken than you don't need to pay them until you want your app on the app store.

Also, like he says, if you search, you can find almost anything. Here are some great websites I've run across:

Than of course there's MANY tutorials and threads where people have been helped out of most situations in this thread that you'll find by using the search button. You can always feel free to ask about anything here, just remember that it is never a bad idea to search here and google before posting.
