I know the iPhone 3g S has Oleophobic Coating, but is there anyway to really get rid of fingerprints on the iPhone 3g without having to clean it with a rag after every use?

I have a screen protector installed. What i do when im finished is give the phone front a quick wipe on my shirt and put it back in my pocket. I find that just being in my pocket gives it back its nice streak free look.

I think there are bigger things in life to worry about then smudges on your phone.

Oh and Oleophobic coatings arnt the be all to end all smudges. you still put oil on the screen, and it still requires cleaning, its just they dont show up as fast. We have a fridge here that has the same "fingerprint free" coating on it, and guess what... it still gets covered in fingerprints.

If only we knew where the Men in Black headquarters were, we could use their fingerprint eraser.

Absolutely right. My 3G S still shows fingerprints. They're not nearly as obvious as my friend's 3G (the coating is slightly effective) but it still requires some wiping off every once in a while.
