I would like to get a iTouch-readable version of the iPhone OS 3.0 onto the iTouch (1ste generation). This allows me to read it even without access to WiFi. Is there a way to do this?

First of all you will need to find a .pdf version of the user manual, usually on the apple support pages, then you need to acquire a PDF Reader from the App Store/Cydia. You can then use the read to view the .pdf file.

Actually, Safari seems to display PDFs. The user manual also says the iTouch displays PDFs. I'm just not sure how to get the file over to the iPod (unbroken iPod Touch).

Actually, there is a funny behaviour with the PDF viewer. I can zoom in only so much -- after that, unpinching seems to expand it, but it unexpands immediately after. Any idea why?

(Also still hoping for a way to access the PDFs offline without having to download email onto the device).
