This is going to take a while so please bear with me!
So I got a laptop a few months ago and i downloaded itunes on it and then i plugged my ipod in and then manually transferred my music from my ipod to my itunes on my laptop. I thought that i would be able to sync from there but when I did all of my music (except my purchased songs) were deleted. It said that the original files could not be located. My old computer is messed up and freezes my ipod every time i plug it in now, so i can't resync my old itunes on my ipod.
All that being said, is there any way that i can transfer my purchased music from my older itunes library to my newer one on my laptop through my account?

    Yes.

Get the files and put them on the new computer.

After that, Authorize your computer with iTunes. Everything should sync smoothly.

The only problem I have with that is that everytime I plug my ipod into my old computer to get the files, my ipod freezes. So should I keep trying and hope that it doesn't freeze or am I going to have to just pretty much start over?
    Thanks for the feedback btw

What do you mean by 'it freezes'
What shows on the iPod's screen? Is it responsive to touching it?

    Does iTunes say anything?

It doesnt respond to touch at all and I have to wait for it to die. The screen stays on while it's frozen as well. And itunes doesn't say anything either.

    That's weird.

    Is it jailbroken?
Try plugging it into a different USB port.

If you're not jailbroken and it freezes with other USB ports, take all of your songs, put them on a Flash Drive, and move the music that way. It should work.
