when it tries to reset it stops half way through the prosess error 13 message comes up and stops everything.it is overheating and thats why it wont do anything else.

    -Turn it on.
-Hold down home + power buttons for ten seconds.
-Release the power button, but keep holding the home button for ten more seconds
-Plug it in to your computer
-Open iTunes (if it doesn't automatically open)
-In a dialog box, it should tell you that your iPod is in recovery/restore/DFU mode.
-Click OK in the dialog box.
    -Click restore.
-Leave your iPod until it is done restoring.
-It should reboot and show the screen below:

    -Do what it says on-screen.
-Take it to Apple and have them fix it.

YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS IF YOU ARE JAILBROKEN!!
If you aren't jailbroken, just go ahead and take it to Apple so they can fix it.
