Hi everyone, been lurking here for some time and now I finally decided to get my own Touch. I'll be getting it from an Apple store in NYC so I assume it will have the 1.1.4 firmware.

I'd love to get a 16GB but I'm a bit hesitant because it seems so difficult to jailbreak it. What would you recommend? Getting an 8GB and have the opportunity to jailbreak it rightaway with the ZiPhone method? OR getting a 16GB and wait for an easier / safer way to jailbreak it?

I have some basic tech knowledge but I'm a noob when it comes to SSH etc.

    Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

depends what you want. space? get the 16gb (what i got) apps n sh*t and no real difference to 1.1.3? 8gb.

lol 16gb is better overall, more apps, music, etc. imo

16gb will probably be better for large sdk apps.

Thanks for the replies. I guess getting a 16GB would indeed be the wisest thing to do.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for the jailbreaking...

I don't see any point in not getting the biggest one you can afford.

Try A 32g One If Money Will Not Be A Problem. You Should Left More Space For The Sdk App Usage Like Games, Software And Any Other Interesting Ones. However, If You Are Not Interested In The Sdk, Just Have A 16g, 8g Will Not Be Enough. Do Not Concern About The Jb Problm Because It Is Not A Problem For Any It Yet.

Thanks for all the replies, everyone. So I will be getting the 16GB model (the 32 gig is just a tad too expensive). The Apple store will be my first stop during my NYC trip. Can't wait to finally get my hands on this!
