    I'm so excited. >< I'm getting a macbook, 2gb RAM, 60gb HDD, 2.0 Intel Core Duo Proccessor (der), 2.0ghz..

Everything is delightful, except the HDD size. But dun worry, I bought a 250gb **Macbook Compatible**

. But, it's cheap. Like, super cheap. $112.50. It looks great except this little (hardly noticable) cut piece thingeh. Has Windows XP Pro loaded onto it (Gonna totally get rid of, the whole point was to get rid of windows in the first place.

Well on ebay there was a bid for a macbook, it is ending in like 20 minutes and the bid was only $105! I emailed the dude and he said that he'll let me buy it for $112 ^.^

Damn, you're one lucky man. I hope that this isn't a scam and that he's actually sending you a working MacBook.

Anyway, once you get your mac, check out Tes and SkaterGOD/DOOD's massive app list. Its called "Ultimate must have for all mac users" or something similar to that. They've put togther a huge list of freeware and shareware that replace windows apps that you're probably used to.

And I've looked through the list even when I doubted a chance of getting a mac. XD

That "cut piece thingeh" is caused by the lid closing and the magnets snapping down. It's a known problem in macbooks and if you take it into apple they SHOULD replace it for free.

What do you mean by snapping down? Just because the magnet breaks it or is it when you close it? im confused!!!!!

both. when you close it magnets hold it down. it puts pressure on it eventually leading to a break. and congratulations. welcome to the macbook club. i have one myself
