I am running Linux Ubuntu and I installed libimobiledevice which allows communication to an iDevice in C code. How can I use it to get the IP address of my iPhone in C?

    Won't work.
You'd have to have a custom tool (or SSH) running on the phone, which you can communicate with using usbmux. (Possibly libimobiledevice has some usbmux wrappers.)
What are you trying to do anyway? Do you want the app to display the IP address and then say "SSH into here?" That wouldn't be exceptionally smart, as you can use the usbmux tunneling stuff for that, too, and you wouldn't need Wi-Fi.
