I just upgraded my Sprint Instinct to an HTC Diamond. On windows mobile devices there is a little program called WMWifirouter that will allow you to connect your Wifi on your phone to the Cellular internet service and connect to your iPod Touch.

You are in effect making your cel phone a Wifi hot spot. Now as long as I am within range of my phone (usually in my other pocket) I am fully connected at all times!!!!

This also works for my laptop.

Just wanted to throw that out there for any WM PDA/phone users.

Honestly it is the main reason I upgraded. I use my Touch as my calendar and prefer the web browsing and email apps to the mobile phone's.

Cool. That would be pretty neat having your own mobile router. Lol. So anywhere in cell phone signal you would have wifi. Reminds me of the 3g

You still have to pay for a data plan with this method.

I can't get WMWifiRouter to work correctly on my 8125. Everything seems set up right but I just can't connect to the internet with it. My ipod can recognize it and connect to it but the internet isn't there.

Well, it was $250 new in box and honestly, I do not care for ATT as a company(long story) and the plans are overpriced IMHO.

I get 450 anytime minutes, unlimited N&W, unlimited Data, txts, mms, tv, gps, radio and roadside assistance through AAA for $70/month.

Make sure your Wifi is on on your phone before running WMWifirouter. I had to try it a few times until it connected but it has been rock solid all day since then.

You can eneble tethering on many phones. Look for hacks using the "secret menus" codes like ##DATA# or ##DIAG# on the phone pad. Search the net, the info is there if it is possible.
