Using iPhone tunnel suite, which is used to ssh via usb, would it be possible to get an internet connection on your ipod from your computer, or does another program need to be made/used? Just curious, because I have dial-up at home, and I would like to update cydia and use some other applications when away from wifi.

I've heard of a way where you create an ad-hoc network through a wireless card or w/e through your computer, although i never truly was able to get it working for a stable amount of time, but i believe that was due to the fact i was using a usb wifi adapter. anyways, it is possible, but it sometimes is a hassle to work with.

are there any other new ways to do this?

I have a TRENDnet USB wireless network adapter. I have it set to Ad-Hoc, and my iPod can connect to it. However, I can't actually use the connection.

Funny that you ask cause I spent and hour figuring this out, you need 2 computers for a ad-hawk network and you also need the chip put into your computer for it to be even a option. Searched the web but not much on it.

    Is there another way possible?

Lol. My dad found a program that opens 16 different networks, 16 different networks on one router. It's called DD-WRT. If he gets it to work, I won't have to worry about Ad-Hoc. And, I'll be able to connect my computer to the I through my brother's router.

    xD.
I may be able to get my Ad-Hoc to work. It says it's capable of Computer-To-Device.
