geohot may be holding another bootrom exploit this time untethered from the bootrom

    http://www.redmondpie.com/iphone-5-ipad-2g-jailbreak-with-new-bootrom-exploit-by-geohot/

if this info is true and pushed forward we will see Custom boot logos, verbose boot and later Android,

there is some discussion from Comex and Muscleneard so it has a good chance to be true

edit: i hope the exploit wont just work on the a4 like the shatter exploit because this is untethered from the bootrom

iBoot is the 3rd step (correct me if I am wrong)
    Bootrom/SecureRom is first.

    Difference is a lot.

Not pwnd4life and yes you are right.
iBoot is software and can be patched by software update.

I hate people who say iBoot is the same as bootrom.

    Same.
I call it SecuRom, but that is short for it's actual name "SecureRom"
Why people call it iBoot will always puzzle me.
