If genius sends information about our library to apple, then could they be trying to catch the people who crack apps or who put them on their jailbroken ipod?

Quoted for people who are concerned about privacy.

Do you REALLY think they'll be checking MILLIONS of iPhone & iPod touches for jailbroken apps? REALLY?

Im pretty sure the only way they can send it is anonymous, otherwise it would be like a breach of privacy?

It would. But it would only be a problem for them if someone found out.

What kind of logic is that?

So let's say they DO collect information illegally from you and see you have jailbroken your device. What can they possibly do with this illegally obtained information without someone "finding out" that they got the information which breaches their contract terms that you signed?

I'm not saying they ARE collecting information. I'm just saying that you shouldn't just believe anything anyone tells you.
