This is kind of an odd question but I was hoping somebody might know an answer.

Does Apple (or the Genius Bar rather) track Genius Bar visits; either by the person or the device serial number?

I'm certain that warranty work is kept track of but I am wondering if they can tell how many times I've taken a certain device into to the Genius Bar. No work was done but I am basically going to a different Apple store for a second opinion. Basically, I am curious if they can see that I've already been to another store earlier this week.

Sorry for being kind of vague but I thought I'd try to keep it simple.

    Thanks

Every time you show up and they log your device it's in the system

That's kind of what I figured but I just wanted to ask.

    Thanks for the information.

From my experience, they not only log the SN, but also the person who talked to you on your last visit. So I wouldn't recommend twice in one week.
