Hello, I'm sure this has been asked and is commonly talked about, but It's hard to go about searching it. Anyway here it is:
When you update firmware, not necessarily to 3.0 or something, or change firmware, do you have to redownload all of your jailbreak data (because obviously it won't be jailbroken anymore) or does it stay on your iPod/iPhone and once you re-jailbreak, it will be the same as before but with new firmware?

Title should be "FW" not "W", I accidentally pressed enter when typing the F

when you restore to a different firmware, you will loose all of your jailbroken stuff. However, there is something you can do about it.

Get AptBackUp from cydia, it creates a backup for all of your jailbroken stuff which you can restore if you change firmwares and rejailbreak

Yeah, I've checked that out. I might just try to back up all of my jailbreak folders
