General-About keeps crashing

    When I click the about "tab", it crashes and goes to my springboard. this never happened before and now it just keeps happening! I trying rebooting and respringing, but it still crashes to the springboard. Please help!

    My ipod is JB 3.0

    Go to General > Reset > Reset all Settings. If that doesn't work, it's having issues reading your library of media, photos, etc. Try resyncing with iTunes.

    hmmm restore if its that serious. If you want to stay on 3.0 i think you can shift restore with a .ipsw file for that device

    wait it could also crash if it doesnt have enough RAM. what else are you running?

    this used to happen to me too. you're on second gen, you could restore to 3.1.3 and jb with blackra1n. i think it happens when FWchanger is used.

    i want to stay on 3.0
    and if i shift restore, will i lose my apps/data?
    btw what is FWChanger?
    and i dont have anything running in the background

    Yes if you shift restore you will loose all your apps & data unless you back all of them up using the paid version of Chronus, and Aptbackup to backup all your cydia packages & then Chronus will save all your settings in your apps. After that just do a regular backup to itunes and you should be ready for a full restore

    ughhh i dont want to restore!!!
    is there anyone who can help me!! (i appreciate what you guys are telling me, but if there is anyway of fixing this without restoring, please tell me!)

    why don't you wanna restore? 3.1.2/.3 is way better. some apps aren't even supported on < 3.1 anyways.
