no one has proved that there is even bluetooth on an ipod touch yet...

EDIT : my bad, i didnt even look at the link, i know what you mean now, yeah that would be cool if it worked, there would have to be some sort of software developed to send files to each other or w.e (if its possible)

Yeah, their site claims that it works, but I was hoping to hear some first hand performance accounts.

There were a few on eBay last week, but they were snapped up pretty quickly.

Most of the sites I've found that stock this item are UK based afaik. Such as, Gear4store.com and ipodworld.co.uk...

If I find any non-UK based stockists, I'll let you know.

    Basic review...

    Hey folks,

Ok, so the Blustream arrived last night. Had it out of the package, plugged into the Touch, synced with the Bluphone headphones and ready to go in about a minute.

The sound, as with other Bluetooth headphones runs independently to the source, so you can turn the volume off on the Touch without affecting the sound through the headphones.

I'm assuming this conserves power of the iPod itself? Correct me if I'm wrong...

Anyway as said, perfectly easy to set-up and use. Would highly recommend this dongle to bring your Touch into the world of Bluetooth!

(Still ticked off that Apple didn't have it built in, but you can't have everything I guess!)

Here's a link to a few for sale on eBay - LINK.

    Any other questions...just ask.

As I understand it, it works as advertised except that the screen display (for radio tuner, phone display features) does not work on the Touch due to incompatibility with the software the unit runs on other iPod models. I am assuming that once the SDK is released, Gear4 will work on a firmware update that fully supports the Touch.

    Mindfield,

I could be wrong, but are you mistaking the BluStream for the BluEye?

    The BluEye is HERE.

The BluStream is simply a dongle to enable Bluetooth connectivity...
