    From Googles site:

"Google Calendar for mobile devices allows you to access your Google Calendar from your mobile phone. Just enter http://www.google.com/calendar in your phone’s web browser to log in to your calendar.

Google Calendar for mobile offers a number of great features:

The interface is automatically optimized for the phone you’re using
You can view your Daily Agenda and event details
You can add events and invite other users "

Checked it out and works fine for me.

    preference: gCalendar or mobileCal?

I prefer my editable calendar app than a web-based calendar, since I can use it w/o a wi-fi connection. How about other ipod touch owners?

Google Calendar directly ripped off iCal on the Mac anyway. And their Mobile Calendar doesn't work for domains... So you may as well hack to add on your touch, and just Sync whenever you can, very easy and incredibly intuitive.
