Using WinSCP(or any other FTP application), type the following command:
    chown -hR mobile /var/mobile
    I hope this helps.

Oh sorry I assumed you knew how to type in commands. Once you are connected with your iPod / iPhone in WinSCP, press CTRL + T and a window will come up where it will ask you to type in the command.

Check out my guide about ssh-ing games into the ipod touch. It has directions on how to save GBA games. PM me for more help.

    Hmm

I used squid, and went var/roo/ROMs/Gba etc.. and when i got there and changed the permissions i checked the boxes and got it to 777 (which somebody else told me to do) but when i came out of it, they still didnt save and so i checked it again and the boxes wouldnt stay checked. SHould i try using something else??

download a ssh program such as winscp (google helps) then search a guide for ssh in the search bar of this forums, once you learn how to ssh with winscp you need to find the roms fodler then set the inner folders (the ones with your games) permissions to 0775 or 0777 doesnt matter.
