Games folder already on iPod Touch under /usr

    under /usr , there is a folder called games. now the weird thing is, i haven't installed anything but installer. idk if anyone else noticed that or is it just me. o and by the way, the folder is empty.

    ohhh...is this the sdk showing its lights?? duh...its just preparing for the sdk..(i think)

    Is this in 1.1.4 or 1.1.3,

    Theyre probably just preparing for SDK, its coming out on March 6.

    I just checked my iPhone and the 1.1.4 dmg, there is no /usr/games, /usr/bin/games, etc.

    That's exactly what I did when I saw this.
    Why would it even be in /usr?
    That makes no sense..

    Probably because people with no BSD experience think "Well, that looks like a USER folder!"

    Well, it might be possible, but the iPhone/iPod doesn't really follow UNIX filesystem standards, so they'd probably be in Applications, as I see you've found in your other post.
    It'd really make no sense though, considering that /usr/ is under /var/mobile/, so it'd probably be difficult and risky to allow AFC access there.
    Yes, Nikita installs things, but we really don't know how secure it is yet or what it does.
    I'm actually quite interested in it; it must really patch SpringBoard, because the applications exist on the firmware already..
