    OK, here are my symptoms:
    1. There are no icon labels for undocked apps (i know there is a winterboard mod that does this, but i removed it).

    2. When I want to uninstall ANY app by holding down the icons so they wiggle, no "X" appears to make them deletable. this is true of appstore apps as well as Cydia/Icy apps (I have CyDelete installed).

    3. After a few hours, the ipod takes about 5 seconds for the screen to wake up after locking and annother few seconds to actually unlock. if I reboot, this problem goes away for a while, but keeps coming back.

These are the packages that have updated in the past few days:
    MobileSubstrate (I think)
    Backgrounder
SupremePrefs (which nolonger works at all)
    MewSeek Pro

I also installed Pandora controls. It made pandora buggy and conflict with Backgrounder so it crashed a lot. I did remove this one.

    I have a 2g touch running 2.2.1

    Ideas?
I could restore, but I lost my sync cable and have to get a new one, but I really don't want to have to resync everything...

remove vwallpaper and backgrounder would be my guess, and supreme prefs will be fixed in a few hours apparently.

The problem is Supreme Preferences. Update that, and everything should be fine. If not, the stuff that isn't fine should have a toggle in Supreme Prefs (for example, the "Show Undocked Icon Labels" toggle) so just check those and make sure they're the way you want them.

"Supreme preferences" is an addon to your normal settings. theres heaps of extra stuf to play around with.

if you dont have supreme preferences, install it
then go to supreme preference in your settings app. the should be sometihng that allows you to turn on and off, the delete "x" and the icon labels. turn both off, respring, turn both on, respring. should be back to normal
